I wonder if there's any way you could incorporate the term "phony" that he uses to describe most everyone, even himself, in the novel. I'm not quite sure though of a good image that could represent "phony." But it is something to think about. Also, I think you could do a lot with the red hunting hat. Maybe instead of Holden simply wearing his hunting hat you could make it a focal point of the picture and have him handing it to one of the children on the cliff. The hat could be created on a slightly larger scale than the rest of the objects in the piece and the red could be more vibrant than the rest of the colors.
