Here are some questions I’d like to ask you guys that I’m a bit unsure of.
Chapter 1
1) What is the mood of the third paragraph? How is it created?
2) Scout’s story of her forbears and of Atticus’s early life is humorous and gently satirical. Quote two examples of humour.
3) What is ironic about the treatment of Arthur Radly?
Chapter 2
4) Why would Miss Caroline be upset that Scout can already read and write? Why is this ironic?
5) What is an ‘entailment’? Why does Atticus say that Jem’s ‘definitions are very nearly accurate some times’?
Chapter 3
6) ‘In Maycomb County, hunting out of season was a misdemeanour at law, a capital felony in the eyes of the populace.’ Explain please??

Alright, well, thanks James Jay, I think I’ll reread it now, and unless someone else can give me a more helpful/better answer, I’ll put yours as best answer because I know what you said is right, and it will benefit me more

Look, all you have to do, i’m sorry i’m not answering them.
OK so first of all, if you don’t understand the question, look up all the words in it you don’t understand.
Then, re-read the chapter, look very deeply into the situation. Then, go onto google, type it in. I know for a fact that there is an EXPONENTIAL amount of information of TKAMB on the internet, and all you have to do is find it. Trust me, you CAN answer these questions by yourself, and you WILL learn more by doing it.

need help to choose a shotgun?
1st off i want a tacticle shotgun(why arent they good at hunting if they use them in war to kill people?)
2nd im thinking about the mossberg 590($600) 12 guage and the benelli m4($1700) 12 guage shotguns which is better and why (if im going to splurge almost 3x the $$$ for the bennelli i need a reason)

Hi all, My name is Justin..
Anyways I’ve been working for a press company for some time now.. I’ve been at this job for a while. Anyways, I’ve been spending lots of time lately with this girl we will call (K) because that is all I want her to be known as.. Anyways when we first started hanging out it was a INSTANT click! BANG! I was flirting, eye contact chemistry is there sort of feeling, I am already driving her places to during work-lunch in her own car ( And yes I have my own car) But I like driving her car just as much… She is 20 i am 19.
She has knifes, camping, hunting, honesty, integrity, and dedication, dancing, gorgeous eyes, hair and the smile to match, along with being the most beautiful thing i have ever seen towards a guy, or that a guy will ever want in my eyes. Problem is shes been in an abusive relationship where the guy has has controlled almost every move or thing she has ever done. Sometimes has even hurt her (at least that is what I am lead to believe) I want to be with this girl. I asked her if she had feelings for me, but for now she said “The best thing you can do for me is just be my friend, and we will see where it goes from there.”
She is unsure, like about buckling down with me or any guy for that matter because her ex-boyfriend is not only abusive but hasn’t quite figured out that it is over, so he is stalking her.. I can’t do anything about her boyfriend problem because I realize that is for her to deal with because she knows the best way to deal with it and not only that but I don’t like violence, cause altho I might be bigger then him physically, I do not want to fight with another guy over a girl..
On top of all this there are other guys already telling her “I love you” And she says they are being too pushy with their engadgement rings and actions but she still seems to talk with them. I don’t want to be like them.. but on the other hand I do hope things turn out so I can be with her and not have the one of the other guys be with her.
I have no clue what to do…I watched the sunrise with her after work, because we both work graveyard shift. I have bought her the same shirt as me from a store and we both wore the same type of shirt to work one night out of fun. I take her every night to lunch, and hang out with her as much as I possibly can. I text her off and on.. but I do not want to control her. I just want to be with (K) because she to me feels like she would make my life much happier, and in turn I would make hers more happier.
I don’t know if this will help or not but, We are both sort of country young adults trapped in the city sort of life style. We both believe in honesty, integrity, loyalty, and devotion in ourselfs and our future partners who ever that might be.. So all in all we have our differences but we have a lot that we like and would like to do together, I’m sure of it.
I’m not a controlling type of guy that tells my girl “NO! You can’t go to the movies with your friends because I don’t like them!” I let her do what she wants and cares about her safety, but at the same time doesn’t babysit her making her feel like she is being stalked.
I do not hit women EVER! I think this is wrong on so many reasons and this gets me rialed up everytime I hear a girl getting hit by her man. I don’t abuse them physically or mentally… I talk problems out in a calm fashion when they arrise and am there for my woman when times are for the better or worse. I care for my woman lots and show lots of love towards her but I do not treat her like she is my trophy I like to treat her as if I had another one of me and that is who i was spending the rest of my life with.
Question is, is there a way to show I am not just some guy who is another abusive boyfriend, and yet at the same time show that I am not just another fake who spouts “I love you” left and right like its candy? But at the same time show her I love her so i can keep her close enough to where I’m not in the friends field that I could have a shot at her, but yet still not push her away from being too pushy? And that I will actually have a shot or am I probably being just lead on and will end up with a broken heart, so much so that I think I couldn’t bare it?
What length barrel should I choose for first shotgun?
I’m planning on purchasing a Remington 870 soon. The primary purpose will be for home defense and to have a hunting-suitable gun, in the likely case that we end up in another depression. I’m not too interested in sport-hunting however, it would be used for hunting probably only in a survival situation. Also, I don’t anticipate having to use it for home defense, since I live in a very peaceful, crime-free area…but you know never know.
I am leaning towards the shorter barrel 18″ which is more ideal for home-defense, but I’m wondering if this gun would be suitable for hunting if it were called on to?

is a good reason because the way they kill the animal?
i mean i watched a video and i visited a slaughter house and it was horrible!!! i mean i like to hunt but at least the animals i shoot dont suffer!! its absolutly disgusting how cruel people can be to kill an animal like that!! i mean its totally barbaric!!
dont judge me because i hunt cause i already know alot of you guys are against the killing of an animal. but like seriously who could kill an animal that?!? and not have the slightest guilt? i mean i often feel guilty when i hunt deer but i make damn sure the animal will not suffer or i refuse the shot.

Everyone needs the nutrients that meat provides. Do you feel bad about animals getting killed? What about fish? What about plants? They are living things too. Why don’t you feel bad about eating them? Does a lion feel bad about killing his prey? Man is meant to eat meat. Indians killed buffalo. Throughout history man has hunted. I’m not saying eat only meat of course, but don’t take it completely out of your diet.
