Why are so many parents against M video games? Let me ask the parents who read this a question. Have you ever let your kids watch movies like “The A-Team”? Did you scream and cover your kids ears whenever a character like B.A cussed? No. Well then why is it that whenever you hear a character from a VIDEO GAME, e.g Rico Rodriguez from the game Just Cause 2, say something like “A**HOLE” you leap up and request whatever game he was playing then send it into the fiery oblivion in the back yard. And as for sexuality it’s o.k for your kids to see a few people running around in bikinis in the movies but if it’s in video games “OMG OMG OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING GIVE ME THAT GAME RIGHT NOW”. Why do you do this? Some of you may say “Well it’s because video games are harmful to kids. They might want to try to do what they see on the screen because it looks fun. Video games cause our kids to become more violent.” or something to that degree. But let me ask/tell you this parents, are video games any more harmful than that movie you watched with them last night? And of course they want to try out what they see thats why they’re playing the video game BECAUSE IT’S FUN. And as for the whole myth about video games causing kids to become more violent, didn’t your parents say the same thing about your comic books? And didn’t you put up a good fight just to keep your Watchmen comic or that comic with your favorite character in it? Parents video games don’t make your kids more violent if anything it helps. If your kid is so stressed he wants to hit something isn’t it better to let him play GTA 4 and go on a killing spree to dissipate his anger and stress than for him to go to school the next morning feeling so angry that he starts hitting people REAL PEOPLE? Isn’t it better for him to take out his anger on VIRTUAL IMITATIONS of living things than the living things themselves? However I agree when you all say games like GTA 4 should not be give to 10 year olds 5 year olds etc. as it will psychologically damage them. I might get a uproar from my own crowd for that but please people remember when they are at the age of 5 to 10 they are trying to establish what is real, acceptable, and allowed and since games like GTA 4 do allow you to do what is not acceptable it might cloud the line between o.k and not o.k. But why restrict your 14 year olds from playing? They know what is right and what isn’t unless their messed up in some weird way. Just look at your kids. Are they the type to go out into the street tomorrow with their fathers hunting rifle and start shooting their friends and relatives? No? then let them do what they want because you have just admitted they can think for themselves and can tell right from wrong. Don’t imprison them any longer behind the excuses that you and others have made up. Let them grow and have fun.
Also I didn’t add this simply because my parents didn’t let me play a M rated game. If you had actually read the dang thing you would have noticed that i’m not ranting and raving but trying to make and parents who read this think about why they are even being prejudice against the video game.
And as one of you didn’t notice i’m probably not the kind of person who shout into the microphone “PWNED YOU YOU FU**ING NOOBS PWNED” as it is degrading and only reinforces everything I am trying to speak against.
And I couldn’t if I wanted to because I don’t own a Xbox 360 or a PS3. I am not complaining about that either because I am saving up all the money I work for, you know from my job, to buy a PS3. I’m going to be buying it with my own hard earned money which I doubt you can say.
And cobra read the box before you say stuff like that. Black ops doesn’t have nudity it was rated M for intense violence, blood and gore, and strong language.
Also they invented the MUTE button for a reason because it sure as heck is a decoration. Use it next time.
I will prove anyone, who cannot provide a solid ground for their argument, wrong. Answers like “Kids are stupid and aren’t responsible are complete loads of crap and I will say that to anyone who uses that excuse. Look at Ann Frank, Samantha Smith, Hector Pieterson, Iqbal Masih, Nkosi Johnson, Om Prakash Gurjar, and last but most certainly not least look her up she is the best argument that can be given “Thandiwe Chama”. Despite what many people may think I was not angry while I was writing this. To help you understand what I thought it sounded like imagine me speaking this in a calm voice asking a question and then slightly raising my voice when I reach upon my main points.
And simply because i am 14 years old doesn’t mean you should disregard what I have said here. I’ve gotten enough of that already.
Why is it that simply because I am young you are more likely to turn your nose up and think I don’t know what i’m talking about and that I should go back to playing with my train set.

so i sent my ex girlfriend a text message last night after about 3 weeks of VERY LIMITED contact. the breakup wasnt nasty and we dont hate or dislike eachother, and we may get back together. So anyway, I said “Hey, hows it goin? how’s the job hunting comin?” She responded almost instantly (whiich she never used to do.) she responded with “hey. i got that job at my internship which is awesome. I start next week,” I responded about two hours later with “word. congrats. are you nervous?” I havent heard back.
I guess my question is if she didnt want to talk to me at all why respond to the first message? She left the door open with her response. she could have either ignored me or just said “im good.” Why ignore the second message though? Yeah i was a little aloof, but i wasnt mean. My mind is RUNNING WILD… I feel like my response could have been better.. but I was trying to exhibit confidence and not make it seem i was thinking JUST about her….I waited two hours because I did not want to seem so available
She was a very honest person and pretty straightfoward when we were dating.. so id be surprised shes playing games here.. but maybe she thought I was? Im losing my mind i need some therapy i think.. lol

First off, I don’t think you need therapy. I think you need to realize that the two of you are broken up. That is the first, very hard pill to swallow. You said that you left each other on amicable terms and that there was a chance to get back together. I would forget that.
You two are broken up, because something is broken. I have ended dozens of relationships on good terms thinking that it left the door open to the possibility of getting back together with someone. Honestly, that is a horrible misconception. You two split because there is some kind of indifference. They call it a break up because it is broken.
You may think that the possibility is there to return to what you once had, but that is probably not the same thought that is going through her mind. She has not contacted you very much in 3 weeks, because she doesn’t want to. Her not responding to your second text should not make you lose your mind. It should show you that, “hey, you know maybe she is moving on with her life and so should I.” That’s a hard truth, but one that you have to realize.

Why do some of my mystery PC games run slow?
I love mystery games. But for some reason some of them run like they’re in slow motion. I have a laptop it’s no more than 2 years old and I thought it was the memory so I tried it on my dad’s laptop. He doesn’t have hardly anything installed on his and it did the same thing. Some games are worse than others. I thought that maybe I’m supposed to have a high tech video card or something. Some of the games that do that are, Hunt for the Pupeteer, Lost, and the Experiment. HELP!
Totally clueless regarding birthday party games?
I was not raised playing games, none of any kind. No card games, board games, imaginative games ~ we just didn’t “do” them ~ and whether that’s the reason or not ~ i imagine there doesn’t really need to be blame set aside ~ but…………… I still don’t play games. Whenever I find myself invited to join in some sort of game, doesn’t matter of it’s a social event with a lot of people or in a private home with just a few, I will 99% of the time find some useable excuse to keep me out of the “game circle.” Now………….. having this background (and attitude) do not at all win me any points with my two sons. The youngest, turning 10 in February, wants to have a “Pirate Party” and do a Scavenger/Treasure Hunt as the game. Thank God the boy has ideas. Now……………….. can someone please tell me how a Scavenger/Treasure Hunt is set up? What sort of things do you have them look for? How do you make up the clues? Do you make them difficult or ridiculously easy? My brain works diff!

CALL of DUTY Fans: What is the lamest thing people do in online multiplayer games?
There’s a few things that usually drive me to the point of yelling at somebody mid-match, making fun of their style and what they consider “skill”. They are:
1) Flamethrower users (or Flamers) – self explanatory
2) Grenade Launchers – Talk about a hoe-@$$ way to get a kill
3) Bouncing Betties (Betty-Laying-B!tche$) – I think the Betties have gotten me the most lately, I wish more people would opt not to use them. I hate playing against people who spend half the time they’re alive laying betties, and then can’t hold their own one-on-one. It’s a cheesy way to get a kill, topped only by the previous top two. I hate having to switch to a bomb squad perk just to avoid an overload of Betties.
4) People who hide…especially snipers who stay as far away from the action as possible, tacking up kill after kill while laying back unchallenged, then ending up with a high score thinking they have some sort of hidden talent or something. It’s so l incredibly lame, and the saddest part is that most times they don’t even know how lame they are… just ask one next time.
5) Dogs… and more accurately, playing on the same side as people who keep getting killed and causing said dogs to bite me in the @$$, while you’re busy trying to make up for how horrible they are. Today I had 3 teammates who had a combined score of 7 kills and 89 deaths… ouch!
Now I’m sure all you CoD fans have something that bugs you too, so feel free to make your beef. I’d like to find out what pisses people off the most. And don’t forget about tanks, laggers, annoying talkers, clans, and more… I’m just getting us started, it’s up to you to decide what you consider to be THEE lamest thing people do in Call of Duty’s online multiplayer games.
