IT DOESNT TAKE THAT LONG TO READ. JUST 2 MINUTES OR SO.
I always grew up thinking war was terrible for the people involved, and tragic and not like in videogames or something. I thought it was like 90% boring tactics and then sometimes killing which is horrific. You always hear people say war is terrible any person thats been to war cannot bring themselves to talk about it for decades and is tormented by it. People say “war isnt a game”
But now recently Ive been doing some more research and the image of the reality Im getting now is leaning far more towards that war IS a game than towards it being tragic and horrific. Im watching al these REAL combat videos from Iraq. And its all heavy combat, theres all people getting blown up and pulverised by buildings and stuff. But the soldiers are having a blast. Theyre screaming like its a football game when they blow something up. The whole atmosphere seems to be like playing with fireworks or hunting in the woods, just fun. Every now someone gets hurt or dies, but hey so do people with extreme sports like motorcross, formula 1 or destruction derby. I try to get some feedback from iraq veterans, and allot of em seem to love war. Things like “I loved every minute of it” “being in the militairy was the best thing that ever happened to me” “Its like a rollercoaster, its scary but once its over you want to go again” They all seem to love videogames too surprisingly, and spend lots of time on their playstation playing shooters when theyre off duty. For reason I thought that if you’d spend time in real war, you wouldnt really feel like playing warvideogames with some cheetos because you’d be tormented of memories of the people you’ve killed or the friends youve lost and what you coulve done to prevent. Most soldiers really do not seem to have a problem with this and love shooting away on their playstation.
When you ask a veteran something about what war is like though you often get people being offended, being like “thats disrecpectful, its too painful for that person, my grandfather never once spoke about it for 20 years” And no offence, but I wonder sometimes, is the reason veterans do not want to talk about war is because it really is that painful or because theyre ashamed of how much they actually love it ???
No offence meant. Im not really pro or against war. Just genuinely curious and confused. Is war really that horrific now, or do they only say that because they are ashamed of how twisted and perverted it is to enjoy killing so much ?? When people say “war isnt a game” is this really true ?? Or is war for most soldiers just like a sportsgame, like an extreme sport. Just a deadly risky exciting adventure ?? Is war really all hell ??
ps: I really dont wanna offend any soldiers, I think youre awesome too. I think I might enlist myself. but maybe for a change itd be good to also think about how the people that lost a loved one that got blown up by the militairy got offended by the soldiers shouting “WOOOHOOOOOOO HELL YEAH” like its a sportgame

If I could change Breaking Dawn, first of all…
1. Bella would have never gotten pregnant.
I think Stephanie Meyer put this in the story to surprise the readers, but it had a negative effect. I think effected all of the characters in a negative light. Rosalie looked like a self centered, self absorbed, selfishbitch. Bella looked like even more of an idiot. Jacob became a pervert/pedophile and anyone who says it’s okay for him to imprint, you need to get your head out of the clouds. That’s disgusting, it’s an infant there’s nothing romantic about it.
Edward and Bella would have gotten married, went on their honeymoon, and returned to Forks unpregnant. About a month later, Bella would start to realize how over protective Edward was and how he bossed her around and made most of the decisions. She also would have realized that she depended on him and needed him which is a weakness. She would become more independent and grow a backbone. She would realize that she didn’t want to become one of those pathetic, pitiful girls who become dependent on a relationship and very clingy and needy and jump off cliffs to cater to their dellusions when their boyfriend’s brake up with them so she got a social life and decided to go to college. She would travel and try new things and become a vampire a year later.
2. Leah and Jacob would be together.
I think the two of them would be really good for each other. They’re both likeable (when they want to be) and they both have a good sense of humor. They are also really close because they can hear all of each other’s thoughts. There would be a scene where Jacob would be opening up to Leah and she would just be sitting there, quiet and listening to him. He finishes and there’s just silence then Leah says “Get a god damn grip. You are not missing out on much. If you get with Bella, she won’t be able to breathe 15 minutes without you. Is that what you really want with your life!!? Honestly…why do you even like her so much? Do you even know?? Give me one good reason”, knocking some common sense into Jacob with a reality check. then Jacob would FINALLY come to his senses and realize how much of a self centered, self absorbed, needy, clingy, whiny, complainy (I know that’s not a word, but that’s not the point) person Bella is. “Do you really want to be with someone who jumped off of a cliff to cater to their obsession with a dellusion?” Leah asked. that did it. Jacob is over Bella Swan…for good. “Besides, why want that when you can have me” and Jacob and Leah get together. They both imprint later but it doesn’t matter because their love is so much stronger for each other since they both helped each other with Bella/Sam so they’re really close verses practically falling in love with someone you’ve known for 5 seconds.
3. Emmett is hunting in the forest one day. A girl is looking for her brother. She’s mumbling under her breath “God damn it, youmotherfucker. Why the hell would you go wondering in the forest at 2fucking a.m. to go after a cat that’s not even yours. really. I want to know. Laila Dennis isn’t even that cute or that great so why are you chasing after her cat….” she slips in the mud and lands in the creek getting soaked. “************” she shouts. she broke her leg and can’t get up when three wolves start comming near her. she’s trapped. she picks up a stick then looks at it and mentally slaps herself “I’m screwed.” she says. her voice causes all of the wolves to come at her when all of the sudden something comes out of nowhere and moves so fast. all she can hear is whimpering andshit (lol I’m lazy sue me haha I mean sew I just left ‘sue’ there becuase I can’t believe I just wrote that and I think it’s funny). A tall muscular guy is in her face before she knows it with blood all over him. “Are you okay?” she screams as she notices the dead wolves..”What the ****!!? Who does that?…I’ve got to be dreaming.” blah blah blah…basically….she reailizes through shock that she was bitten and is losing lots of blood so Emmett’s sexyass bites her and they fall in love and happily ever after. He leaves Rosalie because Rosalie is a pessimistic, self centered, sefish, materialisticbitch. No one in the Cullen family really liked her all that much so it didn’t break their hearts when she moved to Alaska to live with what’s their faces.
Bella has a big scar on her face because Leah kickedherass. Jacob has a scar on his chest because he and Edward got into it but Jacob’s scar looks good on him and he looks bad and sexy. Jacob bit Edward’s ear off haha

I know that this may possibly upset those of you who either have law enforcement family members or some other sort of biases towards them for one reason or another, and so I want to clarify that I DO NOT direct what I’m about to say towards ALL of the law enforcement community, there are many honest, fair officers, this only applies to a part of that community.
I’m not exactly sure where my disdain for many involved in law enforcement began, maybe it was just another part of a greater awareness to the plight of others and having a much deeper capacity for compassion than I once had. Regardless, I’ve noticed time and time again around my community, other places I travel, and even on many of the police/DEA shows on TV, that enforcing the law has become a sort of “game” to them, as if people were prey that they were on the hunt for or merely an opportunity to make someone’s life more difficult than it already was. One specific conversation I overheard (in line at a busy gas station of all places??) stands out in my mind. I must clarify that this wasn’t overheard through eavesdropping or “trying to be sneaky,” this group of three or four officers were standing probably 10 feet or so behind me in line and were speaking loudly enough I could easily hear them without having to turn around. At any rate, they were talking about how they were able to hold this guy up for over an hour while he was on the way to work for no real reason at all, he was just passed the wrong cop that day who was in the mood to harass someone. Furthermore, and I’ve noticed this more so on the TV shows, it seems like many of them have no compassion for a person’s situation nor any shred of understanding of the fact that everyone makes a mistake and should be shown a little leeway, excluding serious crimes like murder, rape, child molestation, etc. One hypothetical situation I’d like to pose (although not great will suffice for argumentation sake) is one where two guys are at a bar that have a confrontation that escalates into a fistfight, police response is to break up the fight, okay this is a good thing, we can’t fight each other to the death, however, even though both parties are nothing more than bruised up and neither are pressing charges, in many cases they’re both cuffed and charged with fighting in public. Why do they feel the need to arrest them? The fight is over, no one is seriously injured, why can’t it be left at that? To me, from a psychoanalytical perspective, this seems like a control complex; by allowing no “wiggle room” with the law and thus lacking the compassion to acknowledge the fact that sometimes emotions can get pushed to a certain point that a fight ensues, they assert a need to control over the involved parties and whisk them off in the patrol car.
One last issue that not only annoys me, but infuriates me is how marijuana is treated in this country. This plant that grows in the ground with no additive properties whatsoever and whose negative consequences (motor function impairment and respiratory damage) are the same as two psychoactive substances (alcohol and tobacco) we have legally available to those of age. This plant many a times gets someone incarcerated for longer than a rapist or child molester. I’m sorry, but this to me is one of the most disgusting, pathetic sins our justice system as a whole has committed. No one forces anyone to use drugs, and no one can ever come close to stopping the drug trade, even with the massive amount of energy and money that from some perspectives is merely wasted, and from my perspective, the victims of any heinous crime against humanity deserve so much more effort and resources to be put towards protecting them from the crime or prosecuting those who commit those crimes than they ever will receive because of the obsession with fighting an endless war on the drug trade.

Well, it’s not the profession, it’s the people. There are bad doctors, lawyers, nurses, soldiers, even just bullies you see in the store insulting people because they are bigger.
A woman I know was falsely charged for “prostitution” by a cop because she looks Mexican and he had something against Mexicans (this was years ago in North Carolina). I won’t go into details but it was obvious police abuse. Sad part was, she is actually white, but just dark-skinned because she has Armenian heritage. Fortunately she did win that case and filed a complaint but still spent two days in jail for nothing.
I think the problem is that police have authority, but the person filling that authority is not mature or moral enough to fill that position. It’s no different than when you get a bad boss at work that cuts corners, plays favorites, and bullies people around because he is a crappy leader. Or watch the movie Platoon about what happens in the military under the command of a bad Army officer.

So there’s this guy I kind of like in my grade (one of the few mature boys in my class). I was at the homecoming football game last night, and we ended up standing next to each other in line at the concessions stand. We both hunt, and we were talking a little and he said, “This might sound a little weird, but do you think I could go hunting with you and your dad sometime? Because I have like no one to take me hunting.” (something along those lines; I don’t remember exactly what it was). But, he asked another girl to previous dances in 7th and 8th grade. And it’s not like he’s ever said to me, “Hey, I like you,” or something like that. Does this mean he likes me? Or is he just being friendly and wants to be friends with me.

What does this has to do with politics. Well, there are so many people worried about the Dems outlawing certain guns here in the
United States. That is not really the case. I asked a question about
hunting in the “hunting” category. It was virtually dead. Only got 1
response, and that took 10 minutes. ANYWAY !! Republicans. I am
a Dem. And I live down South. But I like to hunt for animals. ( We have that much in common) My
12 guage shotgun is too loud, and it is illegal for me to use it in the
woods in my area. I heard about those air rifles. I want one that can go up to 1000 fps, with 500 pounds of pressure. Do you think “air rifles” are a great alternative
compared to a typical gun ? AND can it be used for hunting animals, such as
deer, rabbits, pigs, and squirrels ? Answer here…………..

Well…i’m not a Republican, but I like to hunt too.
The thing is… a .22 can be just as dangerous as an AK47…. in the hands of someone who has good aim. Possibly more dangerous in some cases… since a .22 won’t “go through” you, it will ricochet around in your organs…or easily ricochet off other objects.
The “assault weapons” issue…. is a little distorted.
The only difference in “level of danger” for an assault weapon, and say… a 30/30… one “looks” meaner than the other.
GAMO air rifles CAN KILL DEER in a single shot… i’ve seen it first hand.

Two married buddies are out drinking one night, when one turns to the other and says, “You know, I don’t know what else to do. Just want some sorta insight as to what its really like in combat. Obviously fear to some extent is part of it but whats going through a soldiers mind when in combat. I have them almost everynight.
I listen to songs like im with you and have these dreams:
1.A girl was standing with her boyfriend and it was probably midnight by a lake and i donno(i think he was a ghost or something-very pale and glowingish) they kiss and then he is all tense and he kisses her and says itll be over soon its the only way to protect you and she starts crying-he wipes her tears and says this will help and ties her hands with a rope and promises to see her soon and drags her to the middle of the lake and tells her to swim as far and deep as she can and she drowns-thats where it ended.
2. (age 12 or 11)was where a girl is standing on a bridge over a lake and stares at it(again midnight) and tears fall from her eyes into the lake she takes a knife-plunges it into her heart- opens a vile and pours it over her wound and starts screaming and crying and jumps into the lake-she finds herself in the middle of the lake floating-the next night only she is a ghost she hunts down some boy -and kills him, she walks around killing children and teens and always talks of that her family died and that her friends died-then it seams as she matures into a 16 yearold form and meats sum boy-ends there.
3.some girl whos the reaper kills people and her bestfriend follows her and by touch the friend becomes immortal like her bestfriend -it cut off there.
4.there was a girl who was the daughter of the devil and she goes on earth to kill a boy on an assignment he sent her-she was the reaper i think-she falls in love with him when seeing it and saves his life the devil does everything to kill them when he finds out-ended there
5.a girl-i was in her place- everynight saw dreams about a vampire biting her(a dream inside a dream*freaky*)and everyday she felt more tired and then she meets him and he has been actually feeding off her and those werent dreams and he tries to kill her
6.a black dragon soars over homes and the military try to kill it and one boy is riding the dragon and he must kill alll humans to protect the immortal world and he is the first sign of the immortal plague-then vampires and werewolves set out to kill all humans and one girl jumps into a river and stays there for as long as she can underwater breathing through a straw and then sets out to see the immortal leaders-she is the last human-requesting to be one of them and theyd only grant it if she had a strong heart-she was shy and scared-overtime she matures and gets stronger and then it cuts off there.
