Question by Milford C: If God has the power to do anything, why did he need to have his own son killed in order to forgive us?
Think about it. The deffinition of “God” is an all-powerful being. And the issue of forgiving us was all up to him. So instead of getting some virgin knocked-up, having his illegitimate son hunted down at birth, resulting in the deaths of thousands of new-borns, and then having him tortured and put to death, couldnt he have just as easily have said “okay guys, lets just forgive and forget. Come on up to heaven when you die from now on, S’all good!”? What could he have to teach us through this whole ordeal that he couldnt have just shouted down at us from the clouds? The whole Jesus situation has become so cryptic and distorted over the years, im sure that just having a great, resonating voice coming from nowhere would be much more effective with getting his point across. And dont say something like “god is so great, his direct interference would shatter our minds” or something along those lines. If he was truly all-powerful, he could have installed a little volume-knob on his head.
P.S. If you are just going to respond with “God works in mysterious ways”, save it. We’ve all heard it before and some more direct answers would be nice. Even better, why dont you finally quit beating around the bush and just say “I Dont Know!”
Saying that he sent Jesus as an example of his grace doesnt make a whole lot of sense. It could either say that if you beleive in God you will be able to perform miracles and rise from the dead, which hasnt proven true since then. Or it could say that if you beleive in a monotheistic God, you will be persecuted and tortured, and that the few who agree with you will abandon you at the first sight of trouble

Because God said that the wages of sin is death. And God can’t go back on His Word.

God also said the the Womans seed would defeat the serpent (Genesis3:15). Jesus is the seed of the woman (not of mans seed with the sin nature)… Jesus defeated the serpents deception (tempted like the 1st Adam yet without sin) & Jesus overcame the grave (curse of death). He raised from the dead.

Jesus is Gods way.

Teen mom in need of job hunting help? Very urgent!?

Question by xocharise: Teen mom in need of job hunting help? Very urgent!?
I just found out I’m pregnant and I really need help with finding a good part-time job. Please don’t lecture me about how I will need much more than a part-time job to support my child. I know and I have other people helping me. I have an interview on January 7th with the Hershey Corporation, I live in Hershey, PA. But, I’m trying to look for other options too. I was wondering if anyone knows of a job that you can “do from home” or “on your computer” that isn’t a scam or a long process? Maybe even its just some extra money on the side? Please let me know if you have any other suggestions on what I could do to make money during my pregnancy, and later to help support my child.

Most jobs that are worthwhile are going to require that you leave home in order to work. Unless, of course, you are highly skilled in your field and can work from home.

But, some options to make a small amount of extra money from home would be—

Avon
Mary Kay
Babysitting

You may want to check to see if Mary Kay and Avon require you to be 18. I think they might.

Book illustration, “The catcher in the rye” really need advice!?

Question by : Book illustration, “The catcher in the rye” really need advice!?
Hey, I need to illustrate the book “The catcher in the rye” as part of a book report for school, and i was thinking of drawing Holden on a cliff in a field of rye with his arms wide open (connotes savior which is what he wants to be, but is also ironic because Holden is not very religious, and even though it doesn’t say so clearly we can assume he is an atheist) in his red hunting hat,, which seems to appear in every symbolic moment in the book. there will be children running around him and some of them will be falling off the cliff and holing on to it, as the original poem which Holden thinks of (If a body catch a body in the rye) is everything but innocent, so the falling children shows how naive Holden is, and how he is still a child forced to live in he adult world.Does this make sense? Do you think it is a good idea or should I change it?
Thanks in advance!! :)

When you talk, I listen, I like that
When you listen, I smile and I like that
Why you lookin’, lookin’ at me just like that?
I like that
I like that

There’s a crime scene on the dance floor
Ring the alarm
Police tape on the front door
And you are

A person of interest
A person of interest
Can’t say I’m love yet, but certainly impressed
You are a person of interest
A person of interest
Can’t say that it’s love yet, but somebody’s obsessed

When we’re dancing real close, think I like ya
But when the lights go down low, I can’t find ya
Now, I can’t get you outta my mind, yeah
It’s a crime, yeah

There’s a chalk line on the dance floor
In the shape of my heart
Crime scene tape on the front door

And you are

A person of interest
A person of interest
Can’t say I’m love yet, but certainly impressed
You are a person of interest
A person of interest
Can’t say that it’s love yet, but somebody’s obsessed

Can’t deny, implicated
In the mayhem, in my mind
What has got me so frustrated
You should be mine, you should be mine

There’s a crime scene on the dance floor
Ring the alarm
Police tape on the front door
And you are

A person of interest
A person of interest
Can’t say I’m love yet, but certainly impressed

Question by : decided i want to take up hunting, what do i need to know?
Hi. I decided i want to learn hunting and fishing. I know absolutely nothing. What is a good gun to buy for 300 and under?if any? what do i need for a hunting “kit”. what hunting rules do i need to know? what do i need to know that i wont find from books and videos? what do you do after you kill the deer? take it to a butcher?

Best answer:

Answer by Jeff W
A good gun to buy is a Ruger 223 but I don’t think there cheap. I assume you’re dear hunting so you’ll need: a gun (with a scope), a grunt call, ammunition, a blind or stand, some type of feed to put out (I prefer corn), a good hunting spot (walk through the area you might be hunting and search for deer trails, oak trees because deer LOVE acorns, and place that supply food. After you kill a deer, you need to skin him then gut him, or you can get him processed by a deer processor. Hope I helped.

Need references on a good hunting rifle?

Question by CandM: Need references on a good hunting rifle?
Ever since I honorably discharged after serving 11 years in the U.S. Army; I’ve had the strange craving to take up hunting. I don’t know why. I’ve hunted as a preteen with my Uncle, however was never really interested until now. I bought a .30-06 not too long ago, mainly because that was the only hunting rifle I ever fired.
In the Army I really liked the distance and accuracy of the .308 and I contemplating about owning one for myself. However,my attention was reverted to the 300 Win. Mag. and the 300 WSM however I seem to get a lot of mixed reviews. I plan on doing some travel and I want a good “all rounder.” My interest are White tail, boar and doing some traveling from the mainland to Alaska. The ranges I prefer are beyond 400 yards; I’ve been practicing with my 30-06 at the range however the bullet doesn’t seem to travel as flat as the .308 I had in the military. My question to you is what rifle would you suggest?

I’m a browning, kimber and winchester fan.

Answer by Elliot
Before we look into new rifles, what bullet weights are you shooting in the 06? The real difference between the 06 and the 308 will show up in heavier bullet weights. You will still not get the range with a 180 grain 30-06 as you would with a 150 grain 308 but it will pack a lot more wallup particularly if you are looking at Alaskan game.
Next, I would actually look into the .338 win mag. It will kick a good bit more, but will put a larger caliber bullet out there for hunting the bigger stuff. I know that there are a good many who disagree with me, but I think that really the 30-06 is probably the biggest 30 caliber you need. Particularly with the newer Hornady Superformance loads (and others of their like) being relatively close to magnum velocities it just seems to make sense to go up in caliber to that .338. Having said that a .338 is likely a bit overkill for white tail and boar (of course it would work, but you would likely be better served by something a bit smaller).
As to brand names of guns. I was recently told by my favorite guy at the gun store that “most guns brands back up their products really well these days.” The real trick is to find something that you like and that seems to fit you the best. I am looking to buy a Browning A-Bolt, because I just like them, but the Kimber and Winchester rifles are also really nice. You really cannot go wrong with a gun from any of those three manufacturers.

SPAYING/NEUTERING or NOT?!? I need EVERYONES opinion on my story.?

Question by beth: SPAYING/NEUTERING or NOT?!? I need EVERYONES opinion on my story.?
Me and my boyfriend do not live together but he stays at my apartment most of the time. I have a 4 year old lab/pointer mix whom I have had since she was just old enough to adopt from the Lewisville Humane Society. I had talked about getting a second dog after I graduate college in December. I was having a conversation with my boyfriend the other day, when he asked me about getting a second dog now. I told him i did not want to get a dog till after i graduate. (if i decide to do it then) I told him that I don’t have the time or money for a second dog right now. He informed me that he was thinking of getting the dog as “his dog” but what he was needing was for me to be ok with it, because he would need me to help him take care of it whenever he’s out of town working (which is 2-4days out of most every week). I told him any dog that lives with me will be spayed/neutered at 6 months or shortly there afterwords. He said the breeder he knows has a pure bred lab puppy and will sell it for $ 50. The only kicker is that if it is a male he has to send it back to the breeder at a certain time to “breed it” or if it is a female she has to produce a litter of puppies for him. I use to volunteer at a shelter and am all for spaying/neutering your pets. I told him this and said that if it stays here it will be spayed/neutered. He told me the reason he wants a pure bred lab is to train it to be a hunting dog. He then proceeded to tell me that if he has it spayed or neutured it will be timid around gun shots and will not be a good hunting dog. I layed into him for that comment, but the more I thought about our conversation I was wondering how someone else would have reacted or what comments others had on the statement he made. All detailed opinions (pros or cons) are welcome! :)

Answer by D.R. Brushmower
if he respects what you dedicated so much time to, he’ll find an alternative way of getting a lab. they’re very common in most areas, it shouldn’t be a huge problem. altering dogs doesn’t affect their personalities for hunting, that’s bs. however you may want to alter the dog later than you would a pet because hunting dogs need testosterone to develope good muscle. purebreds aren’t even necessary for hunting, i know of a lot of hunting dog mixes that manage great. thanks for doing your part to control you local dog population, God bless

If I was to choose a Mathews, Hoyt, PSE, or Bowtech compound bow which bow in each brand would be a good choice?? I have a draw length of 27″ and would like to have a draw weight of 70 pounds. I will primarily be hunting white-tail and the occasional elk hunt out west. I would like to be able to shoot around 300 fps to keep a flatter shot. Set aside money and all, I just want to know what bow is the best out there for each of these elite brands, in your opinion. Thank You for your comments.

Sniper Elite – need some advice on a level… plz don’t just link…?

I am on level 4, where you have to meet with your agent and get a new rifle, then assassinate a german and a russian guy from the hotel.

I cannot get to the agent without alerting the guards to my presence. There are 2 guards who stand near the ally I need to go in. 1 walks away, the other doesn’t. I have no ammo for my pistol, so I can’t do a silent kill.

How the heck am I supposed to do this? If I kill them, I can get my rifle, kill everything I see on the way to the hotel and hide out just fine, but when they guy drives up in the car, I can’t kill him, bullets just bounce off it. If I try and plant dynamite on the street where his car will be, so I can explode it, I just get a cut scene with a guard aborting the convoy and it’s game over.

HELP!!!!! Thanks!
