Do you think all this talk about all this talk about having to carry proper documentation on ones person being a hardship, or that it is like Nazi Germany – is simply a lot of hog wash ?•What if I were to be pulled over by the police for speeding – they will ask to see my drivers license and proof of insurance. Isn’t that asking for proper documentation – i.e. to prove that I have taken the necessary tests and have been approved to drive a car – AND – that I am obeying the law by carrying the necessary automobile insurance in case of an accident!
•What if I were to travel to…let’s say Japan, I would have to show my passport upon leaving the United States, upon entering Japan I would have to show my passport with an explanation of my need to be in country and for how long. Upon leaving Japan, I would have to again show my passport to the Japanese authorities – AND – upon entering the United States I would have to show my passport along with an explanation of where I have been, for how long and why.
•How about using my credit card in Vons? They not only turn it over to check the signature, but often ask for a photo ID.
•How about trying to cash a check in my own bank? Matter of fact – at at BofA – I can’t even make a deposit without showing my ID.
•What about a license to carry a gun? To Hunt? To Fish?
•How about a great weekend in Las Vegas – if you don’t look WAY over 21, you better have an ID, and a second one to back it up – you won’t be able to gamble, buy a beer, sit at the bar, enter a strip club, see a show on the strip or even get a room!
•What about buying cigarettes in a Seven-11, if I can’t prove I’m over 40, I can’t buy any smokes!
I think you get the picture, there are hundreds of times a year that we are asked to produce proper documentation and identification – and usually it’s all pretty uneventful! We produce the ID, or even two depending upon the circumstances – do our business and go about our day!
Why does ones wants override the importance of the life of an innocent?
I’m talking about members of other species, of course. They are needlessly slaughtered every single day in order to satisfy someones wants, even though there’s other things to eat. Then, when a human is killed, that’s horrible! But, forget about all the animals that are needlessly slaughtered every single day, they aren’t important in societies eyes. It’s not even just meat eaters, it’s people who hunt for fun and people who needlessly slaughter innocents for fur, even when they don’t need it at all. The problem comes when people try to justify their actions by saying that humans are more important because of their ‘intelligence’ (even though much of society is brainwashed) or because of the technology they create. I’ll address that now.
What I, and any logical person, have realized, however, is that everything dies. The point is that after something dies, its so-called ‘accomplishments’ no longer mean anything. Everything is ultimately meaningless, and nothing is more important than anything else. No matter how much ‘groundbreaking’ technology humans create, it will just be for fun and to make life easier, but it will not make humans more important than anything else, because they’ll just die. Taking that logic into account, how can society logically state that when you kill a human, that’s somehow bad, but when many animals are needlessly slaughtered, that’s completely acceptable? Do other species eat meat? Some do, yes, but they don’t have an entire society stating what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ by saying that killing some of their own is bad, yet slaughtering members of other species is somehow completely acceptable. How can they stand by their illogical ‘choice’ argument?
If you’re answer is going to be one of those mainstream “Eating meat is my own choice,” then you might just want to answer with “I can’t come up with a counterargument, so I’m just going to pretend I didn’t read what you said and pretend it’s somehow a choice to slaughter innocents, even though when you slaughter humans, it’s somehow bad and the consequences of doing so will be severe.”
I’m willing to bet that this was a waste of my time and almost every answer will just rehash the illogical ‘choice’ argument without trying to refute my logic.

Does anyone believe an individual consciousness can leave one’s body?
i had this werid dream, and i had it twice. in the dream i am somewhere in another galaxy and im flying around on this planet,on this planet it dosen’t have oxygen so its hard for me to fly, but it has something other than oxygen, its a bit like water(water vapor) its not thin nor thick. So like im flying through this planet, and i all see are some slaves working, some are black and white. they all kinda know i am from a different galaxcy but its like im suppose to help them, but i don’t know how. On this planet, dinosaurs do exist and these dinosaur reptilian creatures are in control of the slaves. i don’t know what i am doing on that planet or what im suppose to do in the dream, but the dream ended the way it did the last time i had it. The dinosaurish creatures can fly too, so somehow they find out i am from another galaxy and they are hunting me down, in the dream i flew up to the sky and i flew to a star, on this star, there were so many holes i can choose from, these holes are teleporters to other solar systems. The weird part is, when i a, flying in the dream my ears begin to hurt from the wind, then when i wake up, my ears feel the way it did in the dream. then a few minutes later, it gets better…like flying in an airplane.
How can I downgrade some common items to more simple ones, to make an easier transition?
As a personal challenge when I’m out of school, I wish to live off the land for a year or more. My parents own some property out in the mountains, so I plan to live on there in a small shelter.
MY question is, what common items can I downgrade to make it easier to use? EX: A GPS to a sextant and compass, or a Zippo to flint and steel.
Please give me some items that I would be likely to use, such as water purification systems, heat sources inside a shelter, hunting gear, etc.
Anime, Why Should I Choose to Watch it, is it for me, if so which one(s)? =)?
I am not a anime fan, but have no reasonable argument agents watching it. My first Question is Why should I watch it? What are some good qualities and features about it that might appeal to me.
personally, I bet there is one or two that i might LOVE! Which leads to my second Question. Which Anime would Be enjoyable for me to watch.(NOTE: I am not revering to manga. I am talking about the Stuff you watch. But if you know of a manga i might like feel free to tell me. Just remember this is focused around anime, Thank you).
To Help you come up with something i might enjoy, i will give you a bit of info about me and about my Previous history with anime.
First i am a 18 year old heterosexual male, born in the U.S. and a fan of computer games and movies like alien, star wars, Lord of the rings, Citizen Kane, Austin Powers, the gremlins, and so on. I also Love the War hammer 40,000 Universe.
In my younger years, i watched plenty of anime. around 6-9 it was pokemon. 9-12 or so it was dragon ball z and all that stuff on Tsunami(or what ever it was called) in 9th grade i joined an anime club with my friend. now if i say that some of the anime we watched in this club was bad, i mean it was bad for ME. Im not saying it was a bad Anime, it just wasn’t for me. The first thing we Watched, i forgot what it was called but it was one of those Teenage School girls in it ones.(SHUDDER) not for me.
the only reason i stayed was my friend and it was too warm outside.
Next was Bleach, Also not for me, believe it or not. it didn’t Appeal to me. also, all of this was in Japanese with subtitles. Would have like it in english. Next the next one was near the end of the year. it was called loveless.(SHUDDER SHUDDER) Really not for me! and it seemed like a knock off of pokemon when they did those battles, and why were all the kids part dog? im not saying it was a bad anime, it was just bad for me. after that club my appeal for anime was lessened, and i couldn’t watch anime without getting board. which was sad =(.
