I’m taking up hunting small game (squirrels, rabbits, etc.), and I’d like be able to use every part of any animal I kill, including the fur and bones, and even inedible organs. Any have any ideas as to what I can do with these parts of the animal, and how I can ensure every part is used?

Bicia sat, curled up into a ball, in her element. The woods had always been a peaceful, calming place for her. The scents were always natural, and quite the opposite of all the overwhelming perfumes inside her school. The first week of high school had been too much for her. It was busy. It was hectic. It was chaos. She rather hated it.
She had come to this same tree every day after school. It was a tall, oak tree, with a branch that had a sudden dip that caused for a perfect seat to form right into the tree. It was comforting to look out and see animals minding their own evening affairs. They were all so simple. The ants gathered leaves and other edible items all day, or dug tunnels. They needed shelter and food. The fox would hunt, bathe, and relax. They were ravenous at times, dirtied themselves quite frequently, and liked to rest. Of course they would all do other things, but it was nowhere near as complex as everything we did.
Bicia stayed in the woods, and even dozed off for a while, until it was nearing dusk. Then she jumped from the tree in a split second, grabbed her bag, and searched the area for a moment. She felt something out of place. When she got a glimpse of what she thought seemed to be off, it disappeared. She found it rather peculiar, but did not care enough to investigate. So, off she went, through the darkening woods. She was set at a swift pace.
When she got out of the woods there was a shred of light still seeping out of the horizon, so she scurried along home. She wanted to try to make it home before the sun slipped away completely, although she didn’t think it mattered much, as she was not afraid of the dark and her foster family did not care.
Just as she turned the corner onto her street, she noticed a boy standing by her driveway, talking to her neighbor. She saw his chocolate brown hair, peach colored skin, and piercing green eyes and immediately recognized him. What business did he have with the Connelly’s? Franillda had never taken much of a liking to him, neither did he to her. It made her think it was set up, as she was sure everything that boy did was.

How does this sound? Any suggestions? Constructive criticism is perfectly fine, just as long as you don’t say anything that’s just plain mean, please.
The animals part goes with the story if you saw more of the story, and it’s meant to be her thinking it, but they don’t have italics on here and I forget to put the she thought part. This isn’t the very begining, so the characters are introduced more properly before this.

One second had passed. It seemed like every other second of the day but what you do not know is that an average of four animals die a second per day because of hunting for pleasure. That is equivalent to more than 100 million animals dying per year due to hunting for sport. Hunting poor and helpless animals is a cruel act, done to make the hunter feel superior. Animal hunting causes many problems. It kills animals without cause, disrupts nature, and endangers animals. If animal hunting continues until the point where all the animals are hunted and left to hang on walls, there will be another world war. Not because of power, but of the crucial part of our lives, meat.

The Maine Bowhunters Alliance estimates that over 50% of the animals shot by crossbows are injured and left to bleed to death or to be infested by parasites. (7) It states that most animals suffer a long, slow, and painful death. Another study made by the British shows that only 11% of all deer die after being shot twic

ok so im 14 and yesterday i wrote this and i was wondering if you though it was interesting…and yes i know the grammer is bad i mean im only in gr. 8 and this is probably the most creative thing i have ever done and im not usually good at writing…and does this remind you of any books? yes i got the idea of shapshifters from a book but im trying to make it original…thnks =) also if you have a good idea for a title too that would be great…im horrible at making titles =)

My name is Isabelle and im a shapeshifter. About 150 years ago the humans finally figured out that us shapeshifers exist after living among them for thousands of years. Now that they know they hunt us constantly, it’s their hobby. There used to be thousands of us, but now that they know, our race is dying. There is only one way to make a shapeshifter other than giving birth to one (which you have to have shapeshifter blood to do) and it’s not worth the time or pain. Most people wont bother changing humans into shapeshifters because they are so against us. Not even knowing what were doing to save them.
“Isabelle, are you listening?”
“What? Oh, sorry Kayla” I said totally forgetting the fact that she was talking to me. “What did you say?”
“I was saying.” She said slowly as if im hard of hearing. “That there was a human who came into the school to try and kill some of us. I swear these humans are getting stupider every year”
“Oh yeah I heard about that, did the teachers kill him, or let him leave?” I said not really caring. I mean seriously the humans are getting stupider, and its because of their stupidity that we have to keep killing them when they come into our schools and homes.
“they sent him away somewhere underneath the school to figure out what to do with him.”
“Oh, well do you want to start heading to class?”
“Yeah, sure i guess.” Said Kayla, clearly dissapointed that i didnt want to know the details about the human boy.
“Apparently he is really hot too” Kayla said looking at me with her pretty moss green eyes after a few minutes of walking. Ugh Kayla can be so shallow sometimes.
“Ok, well I better go. bye” I said happy to not have to talk to her about some hot human who’s hobby is to kill us.
“Ya bye” she said as she walked away. I watched her walk away to her class her long wavy auburn hair that goes down to her waist swaying as she walked away from me.

And then I saw him. The human boy must have been escaping. He had boody wrists that had been tied up with rope. He had black hair and dark brown eyes. He really did look beautiful. I dont think I have seen a more handsome human before. “Hey! tell me how to get out of here or i’ll kill you!” crap, he was pointing a dagger at me. great. What do i do? kill him? Then i felt like i was shaking and a burning feeling shot through me and then i had four legs. great. when we first change into an animal is when we are about 12 and from then until your about 20 you cant really control when you change and since im only 16 I change when I usually get really scared or stressed. when he looked back at me he ran. And of course I ran after him. When I had him on the ground begging me to let him go I took the dagger in my mouth and changed. I really hated changing from my animal form to human because when your in your animal form you feel free even if your animal is something smaller than your human form. When I changed I could tell he when he actually looked into my face that his face looked like he was in love with me.

Oh hell! it always happens whenever I pretend to be a human (which isnt that hard seeing as they cant tell the difference) the only way is if they happen to see our back where there is a little symbol that meant shapeshifter in the ancient language that we used to speak. No one has been able to find any other symbols or bits of the language for thousands of years.

He just kept staring at me! I mean I have been told im beautiful even for a shapeshifter which usually much more beautiful than humans because our facial features and hair color represent the animal we are. When I change into an animal I change into a mountain lion so I have long perfectly straight golden hair and goldish brown eyes. Other shapeshifters can notice that im very cat like, I actually walk like a cat. The humans have weak eyes so they dont notice the differences about us unless they ave been watching us walk for a few hours.

“Wow, your so…so…i cant explain it!” He said, jeez he was worse then the others.
“Yes, i know im stunning” I gave him a flirtatious smile. if i was going to let him get out of here i might as well have some fun.
“well, if you let me out can I see you again?” Did he forget that he came here to kill me and everyone else here and not for a date?
“I guess, but who said I was going to let you go?” he looked like i was about to rip his throat out. so I decided to let him go (without his weapon) I let him go and he just lay there staring at me.

Typical macho man married
typical good-looking lady, and
after the wedding, he laid down the following rules:

‘I’ll be home when I want, if I want, at what time I want, –and
I don’t expect any hassle from you.
I expect a great dinner to be on the table unless I tell you that I won’t
be home for dinner.
I’ll go hunting, fishing, boozing,
and card-playing
when I want with my old buddies, and don’t you give me a hard time about it.
Those are my rules.
Any c omments?’

His new bride said:
‘No, that’s fine with me.
Just understand. . .
there will be sex here
at seven o’clock every night…
whether you’re here or not.’

She comes to the phone after many rings, and the irritated husband says, ‘What took you so long to answer to the phone?’

She says, ‘I was in bed.’

‘In bed this early, doing what?’

‘Getting a second opinion!’

(YEP, HE HAD THAT COMING, TOO!)

Year 12 Methods – Part 3?

1. A fox hunts each night in one of two areas, either on the north side of a creek or the south side. The side it hunts
on each night depends only on the side that it hunted the night before. If the fox hunts on the north side of the
creek one night, then the probability of the fox hunting on the north side of the creek the next night is 2 /5. If the
fox hunts on the south side of the creek one night, then the probability of the fox hunting on the south side of
the creek the next night is 1/5

What is the probability that the first time it hunts on the south side that week is on the Thursday or
the Friday?

I need full working out..thanks

Don
